Osseodensification Drill and Stopper Kit
The osseodensification burs kit is a specialized surgical system engineered for advanced implant osteotomy preparation. This 21-component kit utilizes a non-subtractive drilling technique to preserve host bone matrix rather than excise it.
Comprehensive 21-Component Configuration
The surgical block organizes 13 drilling tips and 8 mechanical depth stoppers into a precise clinical workflow:
- 1 Pilot Drill: Establishes the initial trajectory, cortical entry, and baseline working depth.
- 8 VT Series Burs: Tapered, narrow-body osteotomy expanders ranging from narrow apical configurations to standard widths. They initiate early-stage lateral bone compaction.
- 4 VS Series Burs: Wide-body tapered finishing burs stepping up to a maximum coronal diameter of 5.5mm. They finalize site preparation for standard and wide-platform implants.
- 8 Depth Stoppers: Color-coded vertical sleeves providing explicit mechanical depth limits from L3 up to L13.
Parameters & Practice
Non-Subtractive Autografting: The reverse-fluted design forces bone fragments laterally and apically along the osteotomy walls. This preserves vital bone mineral density.
Dual-Directional Versatility: Clockwise rotation cuts dense cortical bone cleanly. Counter-clockwise rotation (800–1500 RPM) under copious irrigation condenses trabecular bone matrix.
Enhanced Primary Stability: Compacting the bone increases the Bone-to-Implant Contact (BIC) ratio. This significantly improves initial torque values in soft D3 and D4 bone.
Laser-Etched Depth Safety: Every bur features clear physical depth indicators at 3mm, 5mm, 7mm, 9mm, 11mm, 12mm, and 13mm milestones. This allows instant intraoperative visual tracking.
Anatomical Protection: The 8 mechanical stoppers prevent accidental over-drilling. They ensure safety near the maxillary sinus and inferior alveolar nerve.
Streamlined Ergonomics: The dual-tier layout facilitates rapid, error-free tool selection during surgery. The entire cassette is fully autoclavable for efficient chairside processing.
