Electrolytic Polishing Unit for Cast Cobalt-Chromium Dentures & Frameworks
This electrolytic polishing unit is purpose-built for dental laboratory use, providing efficient electrochemical surface finishing of cast cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) crowns, bridges, and removable partial denture (RPD) frameworks produced through the lost-wax casting process.
The system achieves a high-lustre, mirror-smooth surface finish on Co-Cr alloy restorations through controlled anodic dissolution, eliminating the need for labour-intensive mechanical rubber-wheel polishing and electrolytic bath procedures.
Up to ten Co-Cr frameworks or prosthetic components can be processed simultaneously, significantly increasing laboratory throughput while delivering consistent, uniform polishing results — including in anatomically complex and hard-to-reach areas.
The unit features automatic electronic regulation of current and processing time, with built-in alarm functions to alert the technician to tray disconnection or degraded electrolyte solution quality.
PRODUCT DESIGN FEATURES
A built-in motorised oscillating mechanism automatically moves all suspended Co-Cr workpieces back and forth through the electrolyte solution, ensuring even polishing coverage across all surfaces — including undercuts and recessed framework areas — processing up to ten restorations in a single batch.
An integrated digital control panel provides precise adjustment of current output via potentiometer and ammeter, with programmable cycle timing from 0 to 12 minutes in minutes and seconds, supported by thermal safety protection and a visual operating display.
The compact, ergonomic open-system design requires no external cooling, and features a stainless-steel housing built to withstand the chemical demands of a professional dental laboratory environment.
