Heat-Activated Malocclusion Model
The orthodontic wax typodont is a heat-activated malocclusion model designed for realistic, hands-on orthodontic simulation — featuring a thermo-plastic red wax rim that softens quickly with gentle heat from a hair dryer, allowing teeth to be repositioned into any desired malocclusion.
The precision articulator replicates natural jaw dynamics, including protrusion and lateral excursion movements, closely mimicking real intra-oral conditions.
Once the desired tooth position is set, the wax cools and firmly holds the configuration, ready for bracket bonding, archwire placement, buccal tube fitting, or clear aligner try-in.
Reheat, reset, and repeat — the model is fully reusable, making it ideal for ongoing orthodontic training, patient communication, and appliance fabrication practice.
A clear aligner is included.
Training purpose: Designed to train orthodontic students and professionals in bracket placement, archwire engagement, buccal tube assembly, and clear aligner fitting across a full range of simulated malocclusions.
Features
Heat-activated wax rim: Softens with a hair dryer in seconds; sets firm on cooling for repeatable malocclusion setups.
Fully adjustable & reusable: Teeth reset to any Class I, II, or III malocclusion — the model withstands unlimited training cycles.
Articulating jaw movement: Precision articulator simulates protrusion and lateral excursion for realistic occlusal dynamics.
Multi-appliance compatible: Supports brackets, archwires, buccal tubes, and clear aligner fitting on the same model.
